Impressionists at the National Gallery + Seurat Workshop

I can't go into the National Gallery without visiting the Impressionist rooms! Especially now that the gallery allows visitors to take photographs, I could hardly pass off the opportunity.

I took particular interest in the Seurat paintings and as a result I ran a Seurat workshop for a small group of children a few weeks later. It was pretty low key as the children were ages 4 - 10, the results were very good and they all engaged with the activity and left knowing a little more about the impressionists and different methods of painting.

A few of the painting experiments that were made and the paints we mixed while looking at the colours the Impressionists used.
